Dear HVF Donors, Supporters, and Friends,
As the Husker Venture Fund continues to grow through its 5th year of operation we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible impact this organization has been able to make on its members, portfolio companies, and community. Moreover, we wish to express our immense gratitude to our wonderful donors who have continued to make it all possible over the years!
HVF was established in early 2020 by UNL alums Emily Kist, Adam Folsom, and Keith Nordling who had a desire to create a space where students could engage with founders, VC professionals and angels, and develop an acumen for venture investing. Five years down the road, this dream has become a reality as we continue to pass remarkable milestones including:
+ $500k invested
+ 20 portfolio companies
+ 200 venture bootcamp members educated
+ 50 fund alumni
Throughout the next year our fund will remain proactive in encouraging the growth and education of students and community members as we close out our largest ever venture bootcamp this fall and send a team to attend VCIC in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania; this year we will host several popular events including our third annual Discover Entrepreneurship Day, social and professional networking events, Spring Pitch Night, and a new favorite, the Cornhusker Venture Capital Competition this Spring!
What makes it all possible is your continued support! Your donations this November go towards our activity fund and are what keeps this incredible machine moving. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated as they aid us in everything from providing educational materials to HVF bootcamp students to putting on full scale competitions like CVCC. Thank you for your belief in our mission as we cultivate the next generation of VC professionals
and entrepreneurs!
Sincerely, Husker Venture Fund
