For 121 years, the Black Masque Chapter of Mortar Board has been a home for University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s best and brightest — students who lead with integrity, serve their communities and excel in the classroom.
From honoring inspiring faculty and campus heroes through People Who Inspire and Professor of the Month to supporting the Team Jack Foundation, volunteering in local schools through Reading is Leading and helping host the iconic Ivy Day, Mortar Board’s impact stretches across campus and throughout the community.

Each year, Mortar Board works hard to ensure its programs remain accessible and meaningful for every student — but the cost of traditions like Ivy Day and annual programming can fluctuate.
To keep these experiences strong for generations to come, we’re working to grow the UNL Mortar Board Endowment Fund to $150,000. Reaching this goal creates a stable funding model that covers yearly expenses, supports member activities and ensures no student is ever priced out of participating in Mortar Board.
